My very personal journey
Actually, it was already quite normal for me: regular attacks of abdominal pain after eating, a bloated belly, absolute lack of energy directly after a meal and, on the side, frequent colds and chronic fatigue.
I blamed it on shift work, overtime, lack of vacation.
At the age of 39 I was with a suspected heart attack in the ambulance of my own colleagues.
It "only" turned out to be a stress-related, severe cardiac arrhythmia, but I knew that something had to change. Of course, the beginning was difficult for me, because step by step I had to get out of my old patterns that had made me so sick. And getting rid of well-practiced behaviors takes time, discipline and the will to change something.
The change in diet from "quick-something-in-between", sugary and snacks in front of the TV to metabolism-oriented, regular and at rest resulted not only in less weight, more energy and a better body feeling. My hypothyroidism also disappeared. And even I had not expected that.
In the meantime, I am happier and healthier than I was 10 years ago. I have never been so fit, so healthy , so agile and so balanced as I am now .
